Alexa & Dan
Most love stories are best told from the bride themselves. Read below Alexa’s description of their perfect day!
“D and I met in 6th grade at a block party where I continuously tried to dunk him in the dunk tank.. one time even running up to the target and hitting it with my hand… I guess that was my way of flirting at age 12! We went to different middle schools so it wasn’t until freshman year of high school that we met again, having 1st and 7th period together. I went to homecoming that year with a date and D went solo. I found myself on the dancefloor alone during a slow song, saw that he didn’t have anyone either, and asked him to dance. The rest is history… We went on to date all of high school, did long distance all 4 years of college, and were engaged about 1.5 years after graduation. So after 10+ years of dating and a postponed wedding that led to a 2.5 year engagement, we were more than ready to tie the knot come June!
Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. It was everything I imagined it to be and more. We re-planned our entire wedding in 6 months because we decided to move it to Indiana to increase our chances of it taking place. It was on a beautiful Vineyard in McCordsville, Indiana that I found on google. My absolute favorite parts of the day were getting ready and spending the morning with my best girls, walking down the isle with my dad and seeing D’s face, and dancing the night away with all of our loved ones. It truly was a night we will never forget and I will forever wish we could re-live it.
I went to Mira with my sister a few years back when she was getting married and she got her dress from there as well. A few years later, it was my turn, and I knew exactly where I wanted to go! The dress (2100 by Mikaella) I got was the first I tried on and I fell in love. Fun fact- it was the same designer as my sister! I even got to wear her beautiful jewelry as my “something borrowed” that she got from Mira as well. It was the perfect compliment and pop to my all lace dress!”
Congratulations Alexa and Dan! What a WONDERFUL day!
